Montana Cannabis Tax Updates as of March 1, 2023

As you may already know, Montana recently legalized the sale of recreational cannabis through a ballot initiative known as Initiative 190. This initiative established a 20% tax on recreational cannabis sales, with the revenue being directed towards various programs and purposes.

We believe it's important for our customers to know where their tax dollars are going. • 4% goes to local governments where cannabis is sold. This revenue can be used for various purposes such as infrastructure, public safety, and education.

• 4% goes to substance abuse treatment and prevention programs.

• 1% goes to veterans' services.0.5% goes to the Montana Highway Patrol.
